Protecting our environment is important to us and a part of our management plan because we value it so highly. Fenwicks is an EPA Licensed site.

Fenwicks Marina has been awarded a "Clean Marinas Australia" status. This is a national, voluntary accreditation system for marinas, yacht clubs, boat clubs, slipways, boatyards and associated industry operators across Australia. This status is achieved after complying with all the requirements of an industry audit. Such a status gives assurance to the public that the marina is operating to maximise efficiency and effectiveness while protecting the environment.

In 2008 Fenwicks received an Achievement Award within the Environmental Sustainability category from the NSW Government Sustainability Green Globe Awards.

A waste water treatment plant was commissioned in 2004. In the first year of operation Fenwicks reduced its use of Sydney water by 75%, saving 650,000 litre of water. The use of recycled water has resulted in a saving of approximately 1,950,000 litres over a 3 year period.

Fenwicks also participate in the Streamwatch Programme conducted by Sydney Water. In 2007, we were awarded the “Outstanding Water Monitoring Group for 2007”.
